The major difference between soy (soya) and paraffin wax begins with their origins. Paraffin wax is a byproduct of crude oil refinement, while soy wax is made by extracting and hydrogenating the oils of green, renewable soybean crops. Although paraffin wax has a lower price point and easier supply chain access, it also comes with a whole host of negative externalities that we at Revivify choose not to support. We support UK local soy farmers and encourage our environment to flourish rather than deplete it of resources.
